OTHER CLEANING TIPS
STAINS
Bladder staining is generally caused by food coloring used in liquids. This staining does not affect the functionality of the bladder, yet can be difficult to remove. We recommend using a chlorine free, non-toxic, and biodegradable tablet to combat stains and odors.
PLASTIC TASTE
Occasionally users may notice a plastic taste. To reduce, squeeze lemon juice into the reservoir, fill with water, and place in the freezer. After frozen, remove, thaw, and rinse.
LUBRICATION
Some users may need to occasionally lubricate the rubber O-ring on their connector to ensure a smooth connection and for leak prevention. If necessary, apply glycerin, silicone, or pure beeswax as lubricants. Avoid olive oil, coconut oil, cooking oils, etc. These types of oils cause the seal to swell and make it difficult for the system to be disengaged.
Step 1: Place bladder in compartment and feed hose through shoulder strap
Step 2: Load up back with jacket in main compartment, mitts, headwear, and light in smaller pockets
Step 3: Use external back bungee for additional layers and side keepers for poles
Step 4: Move sternum straps up and down and tighten for a secure comfortable fit
Step 5: Find adaptive fit straps inside zippered pockets, to tighten pull at top and bottom of each strap and tuck back into pockets apart
Step 6: To confirm best fit, breathe in deeply and feel the pack expand with your breath. It should fit snugly, but not too tight
Step 7: Top pockets fit soft flasks up to 20oz
Step 8: Interior zipper pockets have room for phone and small valuables
Step 9: Layered pockets are perfect for nutrition and other small essentials
Step 10: Top sternum strap features a whistle
Enjoy your run!
